A — Cardiology & Heart Failure

Heart care that doesn't skip a beat.

Meridian is an eight-cardiologist practice in Mumbai. We treat coronary disease, arrhythmia, structural heart conditions and heart failure — with a published outcomes registry and a door-to-balloon time under 60 minutes.[1]

III — Procedures

From an irregular pulse to an open-heart valve, the entire cardiology pathway under one roof.

Eight clinical programmes, run by the same consultants who see you in outpatient. We don't refer you out to a fourth-party diagnostic — every modality is on-site, including a 24/7 cath lab and an in-house CT.[2]

Programme detail
II

Electrophysiology & Arrhythmia

AF ablation, pacemaker and ICD implantation. Same-day discharge for most catheter ablations.

III

Heart Failure Programme

A multi-disciplinary HF clinic — cardiologist, nurse, dietitian, pharmacist — at every visit.

IV

Structural Heart

TAVR, MitraClip, left-atrial appendage occlusion. Hybrid theatre with on-site cardiothoracic backup.

V

Echocardiography

Trans-thoracic, trans-oesophageal and stress echo — reported same day by the supervising cardiologist.

VI

Preventive Cardiology

Lipidology, statin intolerance work-up, CAC scoring and family-history risk stratification.

VII

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Twelve-week supervised rehab post-PCI or surgery, with telemetry and exercise physiology.

IV — Consultants

Eight cardiologists. One patient record.

Every Meridian cardiologist holds a sub-specialty fellowship and is on the practice's joint outcomes registry. Book a named doctor below or call our 24/7 line for triage.

Why a small cardiology group still beats a big hospital.

By Dr. Vikram Iyengar · Founding partner

Cardiology rewards continuity. The patient who comes in with chest pain at 35 is often the same person we'll see for a valve repair at 65, and the relationship in between is where most of the work actually happens. Meridian was built around that observation.

We deliberately stayed small. Eight cardiologists, one cath lab, one shared record. Every new patient is reviewed at the Monday morning conference by the whole group — which means the doctor who treats your father has seven other consultants in the room when the plan is set.

"The right operator at the right moment matters more than the size of the building."

Our outcomes registry is the discipline that keeps us honest. We publish it quarterly — every PCI, every ablation, every echo. If a number drifts, we know within ninety days. Patients can read the registry; so can other cardiologists.[3]

VI — Reasons

Four ways Meridian runs differently to a typical cardiology department.

  1. I

    Under-60-min door-to-balloon.

Two cath labs, 24/7, with median time from arrival to first-balloon-inflation of 47 minutes in the last audit.[1]

  2. II

    Diagnostics down the corridor.

CT-cor, MR, echo, stress and Holter — every imaging modality is on the same floor as the consult room. Most patients leave with the workup complete.

  3. III

    Consultant-led discharge.

The cardiologist who admits you signs the discharge note. No junior handoff, no contradictory plans.

  4. IV

    Outcomes published, quarterly.

Every procedure, every reading, on a public registry. The kind of accountability most hospitals only do internally.[3]

"Trust isn't a slogan — it's a number you can audit."
